The Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago came out recently to criticise Singer Sheebah karungi over her song lyrics, mentioning that it has turned vulgar to an extent that it is pulling unnecessary attention to herself and unknowingly inviting perverts to her doorstep.
During his address on the ‘Kampala lighting plan’ where he was emphasizing that there is to be a campaign of ensuring that even the darkest corners for example markets and taxi parks in Kampala get street lights inorder to decrease crime rates, he made a statement about singer sheebah karungi singing vulgarity on air waves.
Erias Lukwago went ahead to mention that sheebah was calling unnecessary attention towards herself just like the International singer Rihanna, which made people view her in that kind of vulgar perspective and inviting perverts to herself unknowingly. He quoted her song that says ‘Yitawo onkoleko emikolo’ as an example of her vulgar lyrics that would make people want to explore what the lyrics say.
Sheebah surely should watch the lyrics of her songs because the message in these songs says a lot about a person. She is branding herself like Rihanna and calling unnecessary attention to herself. Am not saying she is trying to entice men but the lyrics to her songs is so suggestive

It is not too late however, Sheebah can change her lyrics. She should rather brand herself like Celine Dion and Toni Braxton
