Celebrated Latin & Ballroom dancer Valentino Richard Kabenge is over the moon, having exceeded cloud nine after landing a very well deserved slot on the world-class panel of judges for the inaugural London Open 2022 competitions.
This was part of the London Dance Nights event which took place over the weekend. Valentino flew out of the Country, sharing his journey with his Instagram followers as he asked for prayers from all his fans for everything to turn out in his favor upon landing at his destination.
He was introduced as a special guest judge and adjudicator representing the Uganda DanceSport Federation. The always jovial and exhilirated Dance with Valentino host took to his Instagram to thank his mentor, Marious Iepure for his dedicated support towards the growth and professionalisation of Latin and Ballroom dance in Uganda.
He shared a story on his Instagram about his great achievement, mentioning that it was surely God who had prepared him for such an honor and indeed, his dreams were turning into a reality, something he never expected to happen for him too soon but it did happen
“Dreams do really come true but I didn’t see this coming so soon. However, am sure God prepared me for this exact moment. It was such an honor to have been chosen to represent my country Uganda and the Uganda Dance Sport as a judge at the Inaugural Open Competition of London Dance Nights. To be on the same panel with other brilliant and world class dancers was so inspiring.” Valentino mentioned
The competitions were followed by workshops from former dance pros, Oti Mabuse, Kristina Rihanoff and Marius Lepure. The event also featured a red carpet gala ball in the evening, hosted by Janette Manrara, bringing together many talented dancers from all parts of Europe and beyond.
