Eddy Kenzo surely is an amazing artiste who has never back slid ever since he joined the music industry. He is always putting his best foot forward and he has never stopped amaizing Ugandans.
Eddy has won the most prestigious awards in Uganda and he has always kept the Ugandan Flag flying high with his talent. He was recently nominated in the Grammy Awards 2023, and to some, that should cement his place as the number one musician ahead of the three musical legendary giants Chameleone, Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine.
In fact it is arguable that Eddy Kenzo has a lot to teach the three major faces of Ugandan music, well, not everyone thinks so unfortunately.
Dancehall singer, King Micheal finds such suggestions insulting to Chameleone. According to King Michael, no one else deserved to be called the greatest when singer Jose Chameleone is in existence. He believes it is one of the greatest insults of a life time.
King Michael came out to mention that Kenzo also knows Chameleone is better than him in the musical scene and therefore Chameleone deserves all the awards Kenzo has been swooping. He mentioned that it is indeed true that accolades are just figures that don’t prove anything because those that deserve them the most never get them at all.
“Kenzo himself knows Chameleone is better than him. It is Chameleone who should be getting these big awards, which tells you that accolades don’t tell the whole story. I’m not saying Kenzo isn’t a great musician, but he can not be compared with Chameleone. These are things I’m not shy to say because it’s a fact,” said King Michael.
