A couple of years back, Julie Mutesasira real name Julie Birungi fled the country before relocating to Canada where she has been residing as an alien citizen.
Julie, formerly married to Pastor Steven Mutesaira, found peace and love in her female companion and the criticism that surrounded her decision is attributed to her relocation since being homosexuality abominable in Uganda.

A few years later, she was joined by her kids who embarked on pursuing their studies as well as furthering their singing career.
After years of being classified as Canadian foreigners, the family has also worked on being legally recognized as Canadian citizens.
Julie Mutesasira shared the good news with her followers on Instagram before giving God the glory for making it possible.
The family terminated their Alien identification after proving their Canadian citizenship because they were no longer foreigners.
