In a significant development, President Yoweri Museveni has voiced his enthusiasm regarding the joint bid with Kenya and Tanzania to host the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027, following the announcement by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirming the East African nations as the 2027 Afcon host.

Taking to his social media platform, President Museveni shared, “I received the exhilarating news that our collaborative bid with Kenya and Tanzania to host the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 2027 has triumphed.
