The much-anticipated 2023 Oktoberfest is set to take Kampala by storm, with a significant change in venue and promises of a grander celebration than ever before. At the official launch of the 2023 Oktoberfest, held at The Villa in Bukoto on Tuesday, festival organizer Denis Asiimwe unveiled exciting plans for this year’s event. He revealed that the 2023 Oktoberfest is poised to offer a more extensive and exhilarating experience in terms of food, drinks, music performances, and entertainment.
“This year’s edition will be packed with musicality, evident in the impressive lineup of artists we are bringing to the stage,” Asiimwe proudly announced.
The gates to this festive extravaganza will open at midday, an intentional move to allow attendees to savor a delightful lunch while enjoying the show.
In a significant shift from the previous year’s location, the Oktoberfest 2023 is set to be headlined by the prominent artists Leone Island’s Jose Chameleone and the sensational Cindy Sanyu. Joining them on stage will be a stellar lineup of musicians, including Abeeka Band, Kohen Jaycee, Izabel Ras B, Dolv Gvng, Chevank Bad Citizen, and numerous other talented acts.
Supporting the festivities, several sponsors, led by Nile Breweries, have thrown their weight behind this year’s Oktoberfest. Notably, Brussels Airlines is making a return with a thrilling offer: a fully paid ticket to Europe for the best-dressed individuals at the festival, just as they did last year.
The Ugandan iteration of Oktoberfest, with its roots tracing back to Germany, serves as a bridge to strengthen Uganda-Germany bilateral relations while showcasing the rich cultural heritage of both countries.
