President Paul Kagame has said that Rwanda will let all Africans visit without needing a visa. This is to bring us together and boost tourism in Africa.
He shared this news at the 23rd Global Summit of the World Travel and Tourism Council. He thinks Africa can become a great place for tourism if we work together.
Right now, most tourists come from outside Africa. Kagame said, “Any African person can come to Rwanda anytime without paying an entry fee. We shouldn’t forget about our own continent. Africans will be the future of global tourism.”
Rwanda will be the fourth African country to let Africans visit without visas, after Gambia, Benin, and Seychelles.
Kenya’s President William Ruto also wants to let all Africans visit Kenya without visas by December 31. He thinks that visa restrictions in Africa hold us back from business and progress.
