Crysto Panda, in a recent interview on NBS After 5, revealed his disappointment with Winnie Nwagi for not reciprocating the love and investment he put into their collaborative song, “Mukisenge.” Panda disclosed that he allocated a substantial budget, more than any of his previous projects, for the video, only to feel let down by Nwagi’s lack of promotional efforts.
During the interview, Panda emphasized the significance of supporting upcoming artists, expressing frustration at Nwagi’s quick release of a solo track, “Okubye Nyo,” just days after their collaboration. He urged established artists to acknowledge the passion and commitment that budding talents bring to collaborations, emphasizing the need to give them a fair chance.
Panda argued, “If you work on a song with a young upcoming artist, give them a chance because that artist comes with a passion and love for you. But if you release a song immediately after the collabo, what are you doing? That’s competition!”
Despite the disappointment, Panda acknowledged the doors Nwagi opened for him in the industry, helping him showcase his singing abilities. However, he lamented that financially, Nwagi stood to gain more from the song due to the prominence of her verse.
In conclusion, Panda conveyed his genuine desire to collaborate with Nwagi, citing his admiration for her. The duet, titled “Mukisenge,” was produced by Nessim and written by Ray Signature & Dokta Brain.
