Musician Spice Diana has revealed that the Uganda National Musicians Federation under Eddy Kenzo is fraudulent and that’s why she ran away from it. It should be noted that the UNMF was formed last year around May with almost all the big artists in it.

It received a lot of criticism from people especially those affiliated to Bobi Wine’s NUP/Firebase.

However, those in it claimed that their major role was to fight for the copyright law which artistes have for long yearned for. A year and two months later, the Federation is yet to make a breakthrough in getting this law implemented.

A number of artists have exited it and many other things have happened. But the most crucial was the billions of shillings they received from the government.

Many artistes have taken millions from this fund and the government is now asking for accountability of the money.

Read why Spice decided to flee;

Spice Diana who was one of the founding members said that she has never received a penny from this group.

She in fact fled from it when she found out that its aim wasn’t to fight for the copyright law as earlier intended. The Siri Regular singer made these comments as she seconded fellow singer Azawi’s remarks about fellow artistes.

Azawi had said that it’s a shame many singers despite being supported by Ugandans are quiet about issues troubling Ugandans.

She further said that most of them who are well-to-do have been compromised by the government. This is why they can’t raise their voice.

Spice Diana said that as much as she doesn’t have proof about which musicians pocketed government money, its true Ugandans are suffering.

It’s also the same case with musicians. And the worst thing is that they don’t even know who to question about their plight.
