The 2nd edition of the Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival will be held on the 13th and 14th of September 2024. The festival will feature artists from the Tooro Kingdom and special guest artists from across Uganda and beyond. Confirmed acts include the legendary female group BLU 3, as well as leading performers from the Tooro Kingdom such as Titan, Irene Hinda, Rosette, Ayesiga, Draei Bitsc, Holy Trimmy, Sagio Mhza, Home of Talent, and more.
The festival will not only highlight artists from Kampala but also include fast-rising stars from the region like Tai Tan Ug. These emerging artists will have the opportunity to collaborate with celebrated artists from Kampala.
“This will give fresh talent from this region a free opportunity to get their music recorded, mastered, and produced by industry professionals,” revealed Aly Allibhai, CEO of Talent Africa.
In partnership with UNDP, the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife & Antiquities, and TAG Studios, the Tooro Kingdom aims to support its artists during the festival by setting up a three-day mobile studio.
The Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival aims to entertain, educate, inspire, and showcase the Tooro region as a leading tourism destination in Africa.
