Blu3 and Joshua Baraka are set to deliver electrifying performances at the highly anticipated 2024 edition of Blankets and Wine, scheduled for September 29. The dynamic duo will perform alongside a lineup of other renowned artists, including Andereya Baguma, Karun, Sun El Musician & Simmy, Mootownoh, and Kivumbi King.
This year’s edition promises an immersive blend of international and local music, alongside fashion, food, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant craft market. Set at Lugogo Grounds, the event will feature two stages: ‘Blankets,’ showcasing live performances from an eclectic mix of artists, and ‘Onja Onja,’ where DJs like Etania, Flo Moon, R3ign Drops, Masaka Masaka, and That Guy Em will keep the energy high with thrilling sets.
Afsa Umutesi, the event’s lead producer in Kampala, expressed excitement about hosting a diverse array of talent. “We are thrilled to bring this incredible lineup to Kampala, offering a unique in-city festival experience that celebrates both established legends and up-and-coming stars,” he said.
The festival, known for its celebration of music, art, and culture, promises to deliver a memorable experience for all attendees. Justine Mbugua, head of festivals, emphasized that Blankets and Wine is more than just a concert—it’s a multi-dimensional event designed to create lasting memories. “It’s a community gathering, an atmosphere that transcends the individual performances and brings people together to celebrate shared experiences,” she explained.
