Miss Tourism Uganda has officially unveiled the 13th edition of the prestigious pageant, set for 2025. The launch event took place at the Uganda Media Centre, marking the beginning of a nationwide search for the next cultural ambassador.
Under the theme “I Am My Culture,” this year’s competition aims to highlight Uganda’s diverse heritage while promoting sustainable tourism. Organizers emphasize that the event is not just about beauty but also about fostering economic, environmental, and social transformation through cultural appreciation.
During the launch, Minister of State for Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Bahinduka Mugarra Martin, expressed gratitude to the organizers and partners of Miss Tourism Uganda. “This four-month journey will culminate in the grand crowning, and we are proud to support an initiative that showcases Uganda’s rich cultural identity,” he stated.
In a groundbreaking move, this edition will also include male participants for the first time. “It’s time for young men to embrace conservation and champion tourism. We encourage all passionate individuals to take part in this transformative journey,” the minister added.
The competition will cover 12 regions across Uganda, including West Nile, Teso, Busoga, Buganda, Karamoja, Ankole, South Uganda, Fort Portal, Hoima, and Northern Uganda, in search of the next Miss Tourism Uganda Queen for 2025-2026.
The highly anticipated grand finale is scheduled for September 5, 2025, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, where the ultimate winner will be crowned.
