Uganda’s industrial sector has received a significant boost with the grand opening of Staunch Machinery Uganda at Namanve Industrial Park. The state-of-the-art facility, launched by Hon. Evelyn Anite, Minister of State for Privatization and Investment, is the first of its kind in Uganda and the East African region. The event was attended by Mohammad Khoder Hussein, the company’s CEO and Honorary Consul of Uganda to Lebanon, who has been instrumental in bringing this investment to fruition.

Staunch Machinery Uganda specializes in manufacturing high-quality agricultural and industrial equipment, significantly reducing the country’s reliance on imported machinery. The factory produces a variety of essential tools, including:

- Block-making machines
- Power generators
- Cooling systems

A $30 Million Investment Driving Economic Growth
With an investment of $30 million, Staunch Machinery Uganda is set to revolutionize the country’s manufacturing sector. The factory currently employs over 100 Ugandans, who are working alongside Lebanese experts, fostering job creation and skills development.
Hon. Anite commended the investment, noting its critical role in strengthening Uganda’s economy and boosting the industrial sector. “This factory is a testament to Uganda’s commitment to industrialization and job creation. By producing machinery locally, we not only save foreign exchange but also equip Ugandans with vital technical skills,” she stated.
