Biography:
Daxx Kartel Omuryeerubah, born Sebunya Sebyaala Sulaiman is a Ugandan musician and performer who was born on November 17th, 1988 in Masajja- Wakiso, Uganda. Kartel was born to parents Florence Nanfuka and Alex Lugwana and he hails from a strongly Muslim family.
Daxx Kartel came in to the limelight after the release of his Baala hit single a few years ago. This hit earned him a lot of popularity but it was not only his lyrical prowess and unique beats that won him attention but also his unique style of singing which made many want to hear more of him. He instantly turned into a famous Ugandan ‘Baala’ hit singer and songwriter as well as a famous household name.
As per his educational background, Daxx is a Graduate of Kampala University with a Bachelors in Mass Communication (BMC). His First album which was dubbed "Colored Vodoo" was done while he was signed by Josh Media/WE GO BOSS music label, after which he moved on and was signed by his current music label, Wizard Order.
He has since produced many singles such as Spectacular, Jealousy and Self-service, a collaboration with Uganda's popular diva, Sheebah Karungi. Daxx Kartel is under management of JoeBlack Manyire, a popular TV producer, music promoter & Events Coordinator in Kampala
Kartel is currently very settled and married with his long term love Momo19, who is a media personality, most precisely a presenter at the Mengo based Television station, BBS TV. Daxx has a very rough history in his marriage where his wife once left him because everyone in his family believed she was not the right woman for him.
Daxx however won the entire situation with much love and patience and currently, the couple is well settled in holy matrimony, living the ‘happily ever after'. According to Momo, Daxx Kartel is not only good at singing, but he is also too romantic in bed and she has never experienced it from anyone else before.
As per his achievements, Daxx Kartel has so far been able to bag three awards they are all attributed to his hit song , Baala which no one has ever been able to get over.
