Biography:
City Drumboy, born Mufasa Clementino Lyon is a Ugandan Sound Engineer/Music Producer, Actor & Choreographer, Performing Artist and a Businessman as well. He was Born on December 1996 in Kyadondo, Wakiso District. Cityboy MCL grew up very affectionate about music, sounds and cinematography and had joined Sunday school as early as eight years of age.
At the age of 12, having trained himself how to play a piano, he went on playing keys for his networks and clique at school. Whenever there was a family gathering, he would also do a lot of piano playing.
In 2014, he decided to fully follow his passion by venturing into music business and production. He went on learning how to customize the Digital Audio Workstation [DAW] and acquainted himself with the hardware in production.
In 2015-2017, he had managed to link up, interact, share music production knowledge and work with some of the prominent local Ugandan music/audio producers and song writers like Daddy Andre of Black Market Records (BMR), Magic Washington of Masters Records, Renix Pattern of Power Records, Nessim Pan Production of Shot Gun Sounds, Eli Arkhis Music& Yese Oman Rafiki of Route Music,Artin on the beat of Axtra Nation, Diggy Buar of Sabula Records, Wani Production of Masterminds Records, Bomba Music of Bomba Records,Zuli Tumz of Volume Up RecordsKussein Knots Bauq Records & ADM, Eno Beatz of Eno Beatz Production, Herbert Skills of Sound Makers, Producer Ronie of Sweet Sounds & Bebe Cool/Gagamel Records.
He also worked with the Late Danz Kumapeesa of Jahlive Production, Sir Dan Magic of Bobi Wine/Fire Records, T.O.N of Game Park Records, Brian Beats of Beats House and many more.
Cityboy MCL also owns his music studios, Biata Records in Bukoto where he bases and has joined forces with very many artists, both upcoming and established.
While interacting with him, City says his inspiration while executing and exercising his creativity and fabrication comes from everyday life experience and to a hefty extent, active imagination and his belief that says, ‘Persistence and more consistence wears out resistance.
