Biography:

Angela Kalule, born Angela Kalule is a Ugandan musician and radio presenter. Angela Kalule was born on 18 February 1977 in Kampala, Uganda. She went to Aga Khan nursery Nairobi Kenya, Nakasero SS from 1992 to 1993 and Mengo Senior School. She now holds a bachelor's degree in Information Management.
 

She started singing in school and joined the music industry in 1997 as a backup vocalist for Diamond Ensemble group. It is there that she released her first ‘Akamuli’. In 2006, she released a six-track solo album, with two songs in English and four in Luganda. 
 

She is currently single. She is not dating anyone and there is however a record of her being a mother to three beautiful children and among them is a handsome young boy named Angelo. According to Angella, she is the best mum because her son told her so. she has  however never even gone public about her family life. Moreover the father of her son. 
 

Her real break through into the music field came through a friend of hers named Sekibala who was a member of the virtuoso group, Diamond Ensemble led by Kato Lubwama. Angela joined Diamond as a back up vocalist and stayed there from 1997 to 1999, in the process transforming to lead vocalist. She released with Diamond, her ballad single ‘Akamuli’ that was a public announcement of her arrival at the helm. She then collaborated with Abby Mukiibi of Afri-Talent, on the ‘bulemezi’ songs.
 

After Diamond she attended to Light Rays band where her and the band spent more time on singing covers which according to Angela were very popular because that was a time that few people here appreciated their own local music. she was later wooed back to Diamond where she met Betty Mpologoma who had also joined. At the second term at Diamond she released a six-track album with Diamond male vocalist Dan Kabenje titled ‘Akasisi’ where they both offered three tracks each.
 

She currently heads her own band, the K'angie band which plays at different hotels in and around Kampala. She has associated with many musicians and bands including the famous Afrigo band over the years.
