After a successful edition, last year, during the 29th Coronation Anniversary of King Oyo Nyimba Rukidi IV, Tooro Kingdom’s Ekyooto Ha Mpango is bang with a bang, this time, for the 30th Coronation anniversary of the King, to be held from September 10th to 13th, 2025, in the picturesque tourism city of Fort Portal, Uganda.

The grand celebration promises to be a vibrant showcase of culture, music, and community spirit.

King Oyo Rukidi IV ascended to the throne at the tender age of three, making him one of the youngest monarchs in the world. Since his coronation in 1995, he has been a symbol of unity and cultural heritage for the Tooro Kingdom. Under his reign, King Oyo has championed various initiatives aimed at promoting education, health, and tourism, ensuring that the rich cultural traditions of the Tooro people are preserved and celebrated.

The Ekyooto Ha Mpango festival will span four exciting days filled with activities that reflect the diversity and richness of Ugandan culture:

The Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival, with its expanded scale and enhanced activities, is expected to attract both residents and visitors, offering an enriching experience that showcases the Tooro Kingdom’s vibrant culture and tourism potential. Sponsors and friends of the Kingdom are invited to participate in this cultural celebration.

This momentous occasion not only celebrates the legacy of King Oyo but also aims to foster tourism and cultural exchange in Uganda. We invite everyone to join us for this historic celebration to honor our traditions and embrace the future together.

The festival is organized by the Tooro Kingdom in collaboration with Talent Africa Group, which will handle the festival’s end-to-end management and execution, supported by a strong on-ground team from the Tooro region.
